Brand new footage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has surfaced online, and while this new content is very brief, it sheds some more light on the storyline while also getting people pretty pumped for The Force Awakens’ imminent arrival. The new Star Wars video, posted on Instagram by the official Star Wars account, comes complete with some ominous music, a rebuilt army of stormtroopers, and a few of our heroes looking awful pensive.
Not all of the heroes are looking scared or concerned, though. The most interesting part of the video shows one of the main characters, Finn, taking up some very special arms. The character who we last saw dressed in half a Storm Trooper uniform is shown in this new Star Wars video raising a lightsaber against an enemy whose face we still haven’t seen. At the same time, the tagline, “Can you feel it, the force awakening?” is spoken over the footage.
While we still haven’t seen this particular enemy’s face we’ve seen him before in previous Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers and footage, along with his rather interesting lightsaber. This new short teaser shows Finn spark up a blue lightsaber and looks to be getting ready to duel. While most of the Jedi are always taught to control their emotions in order to be the best they can be, it’s pretty clearly that in The Force Awakens the rules are changing a bit. This version of Star Wars is obviously going to be changing the canon a bit and that apparently includes how the Jedi are learning to use their powers.
Of course, we don’t know everything about what’s going on in the Star Wars universe these days. Finn might not even be a Jedi but just someone who got his hands on the most famous weapon in the Star Wars tales. As we get closer to the release date for this new movie, it’s a safe assumption that we’ll be seeing more of this kind of stuff. On the one hand, the movie producers are clearly trying to keep some info under their collective hats. Whenever they release new info or a bit of a tease regarding Star Wars: The Force Awakens , people get plenty excited.
