It has been almost a month since Joe Keller went on a run and never returned . The 19-year-old was taking a cross-country road trip with some friends. The trip was slated to last for 15 days. Keller was set to start his sophomore year at a community college on the west coast. Joe Keller vanished on day 10. The last time Joe was seen was on July 23 in Antonito, Colorado. Keller and his friend, Collin Gwaltney, went out for a run in the afternoon. Keller could not catch up with his friend and never made it to the ranch where they were supposed to meet up at. Gwaltney spoke to a reporter from Denver and said that he believes Joe was either kidnapped or fell victim to foul play.
The investigation into Joe Keller’s disappearance has turned up no clues or trace of Joe. The search for Keller has been going on for weeks and included the use of drones, horses, dogs, helicopters, and people on foot. Joe’s parents, Neal and Zoe Keller, immediately went out to Colorado to aid in the search for their son. Zoe Keller spoke to NBC News about Joe.
“It’s just an awful situation not knowing if your loved one is in heaven or in a terrible situation on earth or out in the wilderness.”
Neal Keller is still in Colorado looking for his son.
“Anything is possible at this point. There has been no sign, no clue, no nothing. The sheriff’s department out here has limited resources and have done what they can, but we really need more help.”
The family and friends of Joe Keller are baffled as to what happened to Joe. A Facebook page has been set up in order to assist in the search. “Find Joe Keller” has over 8,500 likes. Some of the posts on the Facebook page are those of sympathy to the Keller family.
The Keller’s are not leaving any stone or option unturned in regards to finding their son. They are even looking into a tip by a psychic that said they felt Joe was in Sedona, Arizona.
The Keller family is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to finding Joe. When Joe was last seen, he was wearing red shorts and blue running shoes. He is five-feet, seven-inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, has blonde hair, and hazel eyes. If anyone has any information they should notify their local police.
