Two of the very best wide receivers in the National Football League were paid accordingly today. Earlier, as the Inquisitr noted, Dez Bryant re-signed with the Dallas Cowboys for five-years and $70 million, while Demaryius Thomas inked an eerily similar contract with the Denver Broncos.
Thomas’ contract is also five-years and $70 million, with a guarantee of $43.5 million , per ESPN .

Demaryius was designated by the Broncos as the team’s franchise player this offseason, meaning if the two sides didn’t come to an agreement on a long-term deal by today at 4 p.m. EST, no negotiations could be held until this upcoming season came to a close.
The 27-year-old Thomas caught 111 passes last season for 1,619 yards, to go along with 11 touchdowns. Originally selected 22nd overall in the 2010 NFL Draft, Thomas boasts career numbers of 351 receptions for 5,317 yards, with 41 td’s.
Through five professional seasons, Thomas has been named a Pro-Bowler three times (2012, 2013, 2014) and was named to the AP All-NFL Second Team in 2013 and 2014, per Football Reference .

According to NBC Sports , it was reported that the NFLPA was going to pursue collusion charges against the Broncos and Cowboys if both Thomas and Bryant did not secure long-term deals before the start of training camp, but now that point is moot.
