Jackie Siegel, best known as the Queen of Versailles due to her over-the-top opulent lifestyle and Orlando mansion, denies that her daughter, Victoria, killed herself. Though Siegel was a known addict, her mother stresses that Victoria had plans to go on a cruise with the family this week and had rushed to get her passport in order to travel. It is believed that Victoria was a victim of cyber bullying, which caused her to self-medicate.
Victoria Siegel, daughter of billionaire Westgate Resorts founder (and the husband of the subject of the documentary The Queen of Versailles), David A. Siegel, was found unresponsive in the family home on Green Island Cove in Orange County, California, by a member of their house staff. She had been staying alone at this residence while the rest of the family was attending a wedding in Utah. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital soon after. According to a family spokesperson, Victoria had a history of seizures, which was being treated with prescription medication .
“Unfortunately she became dependent and struggled with this condition,” he explained. “She voluntarily underwent rehabilitation and was working hard to address this problem.”
In speaking to Jorge Esteves of Channel 9, WFTV in Florida, family members have reported that Victoria was the victim of a relentless cyber attack following her release from rehab, and that she perhaps succumbed to her addiction to ease the pain. The family is devastated and in grief.
“I don’t think (she) had any intentions of killing herself. I think she just wanted to soothe the pain she was going through,” said Jackie Siegel.

“This should’ve been a happy time of celebration where I would have been walking her down the aisle and she would have started a new life as a new wife and a new mother,” said David Siegel. “Instead we are having to bury her.”
It has been reported that Victoria was receiving hate-filled messages across her social media pages from the ex-girlfriend of her current boyfriend (they allegedly met in rehab), perhaps disguised as the boyfriend . Siegel was in an emotional state, and her family believes the bullying may have pushed her over the edge.

Victoria Siegel was a 2014 graduate of Olympia High School in Florida. She was laid to rest on Tuesday in Orlando, Florida. An official cause of death will be made public following the release of toxicology reports.
