Dubbed the “Splash Brothers,” John Elmerson Fabriga and John David Pahoyo competed at the SEA Games held in Singapore. They are now viral sensations, thanks to their not-so-spectacular performance at the SEA Games. Both of the Filipino divers flopped on the fourth dive in the men’s three-meter springboard event, Yahoo News reports.

The video, which has since gone viral, was posted on a Singaporean Facebook page called SGAG, which is just like 9GAG. The video had a caption mocking the divers.

“Friends do not let friends do silly things alone… in this case getting ZERO POINTS for Diving at SEA GAMES 2015! HAHAHAHAH!”

As of this post, the video has 1.7 million views, 13,567 likes, and 26, 361 shares. You can see the footage above.

Both Fabriga and Pahoyo scored zero points for their dives. Unfortunately, the panel doesn’t give away points for effort.

The Splash Brothers gained mixed reactions from commenters. Some are making fun of the athletes, while others are showing their sympathy for them. The performance of the Filipino divers also attracted the attention of Richie Garcia, chairman of the Philippine Sport Commission. Garcia wants an explanation from the aquatics chief, Mark Joseph.

“I will give the opportunity for the Philippine Swimming Inc. president to explain because he fought for these divers to come here and compete.”

Garcia also said that he saw Fabriga and Pahoyo while they were training and said, “they are good.” He is now questioning if the flopped dives were done intentionally.

To those making fun of the 2 Filipino divers who both scored 0 points at the SEA games, tell me, have you ever competed internationally? ?

Lol!!! The Filipino Olympic Commitee must of been drunk for qualifying them… http://t.co/47UpRj4K3N — K ? d c ? ? ? (@KID_CRAS) June 11, 2015

After the two Filipino divers were done with their event, they gave each other a high five.

Pahoyo has seen the video of their performance and even commented on it, according to Inquirer.

“I even laughed at myself after I did this dive hehe. But after all this was not the first time I failed a dive, and I was not the first one who did so. And I am still proud because not all of us has the privilege to represent our own country to such a big sporting event like this. And by the way can I ask all of you if you can still smile after getting embarrassed in front of thousands of people?”
