Actress Charlize Theron announced last month that she had adopted a little baby boy whom she named Jackson and now the movie star has opened up to British Vogue about starting a family, her new role as a mom and why Jackson “is the coolest kid ever.
Theron starts by telling Vogue that she always knew she wanted a family and was just waiting for the right time, she notes:
“I’ve always been very honest in saying I wanted a family. I’ve always known I wanted a family .”
When asked what type of mom she hopes to be for little Jackson Theron says:
“I hope to be like my mom. Fair, tough, loving and supportive. My mom has made it possible for me to be who I am. Our family is everything. Her greatest skill was encouraging me to find my own person and own independence.”
Talking further about her own mom Theron says “she couldn’t wait any longer” to have a grandchild so she’s just as excited as Charlize.
Theron also talked to magazine about its main focus fashion, claiming that she was born a decade to late, as Charlize Theron puts it:
“I was too tall, too big, too late for the supermodel look of the ’80s. Kate Moss and all the tiny, grungy girls had just become fashionable, and I didn’t fit the bill.”
Charlize decided to take family planning into her own hands as a strong, independent Hollywood leading lady, for that we fully commend her and wish the new mommy and Jackson Theron the best for the future.
