Amidst all of the heartbreak and turmoil that surrounds his daughter Bobbi Kristina, 46-year-old Bobby Brown finally had reason to celebrate. As he prepares to welcome a new baby Brown to the family soon, he attended his wife’s baby shower, held at their Los Angeles area home this weekend.
People reports that Alicia Etheredge, Bobby Brown’s current wife and manager, posted an adorable Instagram photo this weekend that depicts her proudly displaying a pregnant belly, donned with a beautiful, temporary henna tree tattoo and sun tattoo. A tiny set of infant footprints were tattooed on Etheredge-Brown’s lower abdomen for the occasion, fitting for the baby shower, held on a sunny L.A. afternoon.
The new baby will mark Bobby Brown’s 6th child. Along with daughter Bobbi Kristina with his former wife, the late Whitney Houston, he has a 29-year old son with ex-girlfriend Melika Williams, and two children with ex-girlfriend, Kim Ward. Bobby and Alicia already have one other child together, Cassius, who is almost six years old.
Etheredge has been a rock for her husband this year, which has been marked with worry and grief over Bobbi Kristina’s condition. Brown’s 22-year-old daughter has remained in the hospital throughout most of the year after being found comatose in her Roswell, Georgia, townhouse on January 31.
Brown’s wife released a statement last month, indicating that her husband has been under a lot of pressure , as to be expected of someone who in his situation.
“My husband made an attempt to correct the negative comments he must endure on a daily basis from both family and the public regarding his daughter’s medical condition.”
Although there hasn’t been much change in Bobbi Kristina’s health, Etheredge recently indicated that the family is doing as good as they can be, considering the circumstances.
Meanwhile, as the couple eagerly prepare for the baby, they seemed to have had a blast at the weekend baby shower. Guests, along with the hosts, played several baby-themed games at the shower, which took place at their Woodland Hills home in Los Angeles.
Around 60 or so people were in attendance, including Alicia’s sister, Jim, who snapped a few pictures of her own to share. Some of the games entailed not saying the word “baby” and clothes pin game.
Will Bobby Brown and Etheredge welcome a new boy or girl? Although it’s been hinted that the couple is expecting a girl, we won’t find out until after the little one is born as they decided to reportedly keep it a surprise.
