Yolanda Foster will be spending her Mother’s Day overseas this year as she undergoes treatment for chronic Lyme disease. The star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills told CR Fashion Book that she would stop by and see her mother while she’s away.

“I am currently at a clinic in Germany for treatment, so I will be stopping in Holland on my way home to be with my mom for Mother’s Day — something I haven’t done in 20 years, so I am really looking forward to having that time with her.”

Yolanda suffers from chronic Lyme disease, which causes symptoms of fatigue, muscle aches, sleep problems, and a decrease in cognitive functions. Yolanda, who has been sent to the hospital because of her illness in the past, uploaded a few images of her at her latest hospital stop to Instagram, according to E! Online .

“Your Mommy’s arms are always true because she would risk it all for you,” she noted with the photograph. “#FamilySupport #MyLymeJourney #MothersLove.” She also posted an image of her brother who stopped by the hospital for a quick visit. “Only my brother would bite my feet to make me laugh…” she wrote.

In the spirit of Mother’s Day, Yolanda Foster also talked with CR Fashion Book about the difficulties of raising her own children — Gigi, Bella, and Anwar — in California.

“Los Angeles is a pretty tough place to raise humble children for the obvious reasons of excess, so when my marriage ended in 2001, my children and I moved to Montecito to start a new life,” Yolanda explained in the interview. “My son Anwar was only 18 months at that time. Growing up on a farm myself, I really needed to reconnect and wanted the same for my children: a life in a small community, with animals, that was connected to the Earth.”

Yolanda and her first husband went through a divorce back in 2000. She is currently married to David Foster. The couple have been together since 2011.

“I am far from perfect, but I have been consistent and have given them the best I have to give… I believe that I have lived my life by example and invested the time to create a strong and old-fashioned foundation for them. My unconditional love for each of their individual needs and 24/7 support keeps us connected as a very strong family unit. It’s a forever commitment that I take very seriously and thrive on.”

Hopefully, Yolanda Foster will get better after her treatment in Europe and can get back to being one amazing mother and celebrate Mother’s Day at home next year.
