Holywood Girls Night star Ali Landry has dated Mario Lopez for six years before they got married. The marriage lasted only a few weeks after revelations that Lopez had cheated. So Landry changed her game plan. From that moment on it was all about abstinence.
Landry told an upcoming episode of the Wendy Williams Show,
“Because of the situation I was in before, I was just treading lightly, and did not want to make any mistakes in this relationship. We abstained from having sex until we got married.” She said of marrying Lopez, “I had heard something right before the wedding. He swore that it was not true, but I had that feeling in my gut,” she says. “All of my family was flying in – it was a destination wedding – and I really should have put the brakes on it at that point, but I was afraid.”
She continued to be suspicious after that and even considered tapping his phones. She didn’t but soon started getting calls from the girls.
She said,
“I was like, ‘I don’t want to tap a phone! I can’t believe I’m doing this.’ So she did, and right after the honeymoon I started getting phone calls from these girls. I confronted him and he still – to this day – denied it and never apologized. It was horrible.”
She decided after that to not let sex stand in the way of meeting the perfect man who came to her while she was taking a theology class in Los Angeles. His name was Alejandro Monteverde and he was a director and the two are now happily married with two children.
Lopez is also currently engaged .
