Pretty Little Liars fans won’t have to wait much longer for their “A” game to pick back up. ABC Family has officially confirmed that Pretty Little Liars will air its summer premiere on June 6 with the “Game On, Charles” episode. That PLL premiere episode, which was written by showrunner I. Marlene King and directed by Chad Lowe (who also plays Pretty Little Liars ‘ Byron Montgomery), will pick up with the liars still under Charles’ thumb and trapped in the dollhouse.
The recent news that season six of Pretty Little Liars will entail a time jump has led to speculation regarding what dramas may unfold in the future for the liars. Some want to know if any of the Pretty Little Liars girls will have children of their own. Particularly revealing was an image Ashley Benson posted to her Instagram account, showing Caleb kissing Hannah’s pregnant belly.
Later, the Pretty Little Liars star admitted that she was only pregnant on pizza.
Further speculation about some of the Pretty Little Liars characters having babies in season six was encouraged, when Lucy Hale was asked about the possibility in a recent interview.
“I don’t know. I truly, genuinely have no idea. I want to think hopefully when we do the time-jump they’re trying to have babies and stuff, but we’ll see.”
Lucy was pretty secretive, when asked for details about that Pretty Little Liars time jump. It’s almost as if Charles was listening in on the interview. Either way, Ms. Hale was cagey about how much she would reveal to PLL fans.
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to say how far into the future we jump, but it’s a significant amount of time. You get to see the girls…who they’re dating and how they’ve grown up and I think as an actress, that’s really exciting to play because I’ve been playing 17 for six years and I’m like, ‘I’m almost 10 years older than that!’ So it will be fun to see how she’s evolved.”
And what about that rumor that Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale will be following Nina Dobrev’s example and jumping ship, before the end of the series? Ms. Hale says it’s not true at all.
“I’ll ride out Pretty Little Liars until it’s dead because that has been such a launching pad for me and genuinely love and like the people I work with and I love the characters,” Lucy told E! Online . “Mainly, I’m just curious to see what happens!”
The off-season has been nearly as busy for PLL fans as the regular season, thanks in part to I. Marlene King. The Pretty Little Liars showrunner recently posted a picture from Charles’ childhood, leading to a storm of theories among fans.
