Actress Christina Hendricks has went on record to say that she is not quite ready to start a family with her husband.
The 36-year-old star, who is married to fellow actor Geoffrey Arend, will not follow in the footsteps of Mad Men alter ego Joan Harris, who recently discovered she was pregnant in the show’s last season.
Speaking to Hello magazine, Hendricks revealed that fans have repeatedly asked her whether she is looking to have a baby off-screen.
“I think about it all the time because people are constantly asking me,” she explained. “I’m not ready for that as of now, but all my friends are having them. So the pressure is on!”
The English-American actress also declared that the Mad Men cast are “so excited” for the period drama’s return later this month (March 25) after a nearly 18-month off air hiatus.
“I feel very, very lucky to play Joan. I love that everyone is so excited,” she later said. “It was a long break and a long time to ask people to wait.”
