‘Real Housewives’ Bethenny Frankel Explains Why Her Daughter Won’t Be Seen On ‘RHONY,’ Hints Jason Hoppy Was Affected By Her Success

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 will not include Bethenny Frankel’s daughter, Bryn Casey Hoppy. However, according to Frankel, her daughter is banned from the series, as has been reported.

In an interview with USA Today , Frankel claimed it was her decision to keep Bryn away from the Real Housewives cameras.

“Everyone says it’s because she’s not allowed. Kids with microphones on them, it’s not natural. I’ve chosen this. This season, it’s me, it’s my decision. I’m not bringing anybody into it.”

After a three-season run on the Real Housewives , Frankel moved on to her own series, Bethenny Getting Married (later, Bethenny Ever After ), which aired for three seasons on Bravo, and followed her and her then-husband, Jason Hoppy, in their personal and professional lives. On the show, fans watched as Frankel juggled her busy career with being a wife to Hoppy and a mother to Bryn.

Although Frankel did allow her daughter to film scenes for her Real Housewives spinoff, she has since changed her mind about exposing her daughter to fans around the world. That said, she doesn’t have any regrets about her past decisions.

“I don’t believe in regret. Would I do anything like that again? No. I do think that fame and money and power can be, for certain people, a very bad thing. And can be the root of all evil. If people haven’t had it and have it and then it’s taken away, they do crazy things.”

Although the Real Housewives star didn’t mention Hoppy by name, her comments about someone who had money, and then had it taken away, appear to be aimed at him. After all, Frankel and her estranged husband have been locked in a battle over her Skinnygirl earnings for nearly two years now. She went on to tell USA Today that her lifestyle makes it hard to make an “exit” from certain situations.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Andy Cohen recently spoke of Frankel’s return to the Real Housewives franchise.

“She’s so funny. She’s so her. It’s wild seeing her back in. She comes back in and it just feels like she’s home again.”

At the same time, Cohen admitted it was harder for him to remain friends with Frankel while she was filming for his Bravo reality show.

“I think it’s easier to be friends with her when she’s not on Bravo. She’s a Housewife now, and I don’t want to treat her any differently than any of the other Housewives and she knows that. Our friendship went on the back burner when she started shooting.”

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 premieres on April 7 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
