So fans hoping they still have a chance with the sexy singer are sure to be facing disappointment. The wedding is still on, but “kind of engaged” Zayn Malik and his beautiful bride-to-be are taking precautions to keep their upcoming nuptials private. Plus, they haven’t really started planning the wedding in earnest just yet.
According to Yahoo! News , it was during an interview with BBC Breakfast earlier this month that Zayn Malik uttered the fateful phrase that has everyone talking today.
“I haven’t really thought about getting married yet, we’re just kind of engaged,” Zayn Malik explained.
Apparently the attractive couple haven’t taken the time to flip through bridal magazines and make any all-important choices about cakes and gowns just yet. Then again, they are still young. There’s plenty of time left for taffeta and buttercream frosting.
“We haven’t really thought about the wedding side of things or how we’re gonna do that,” he added. “We haven’t really had any time to sit and organize that.”
MStarz pointed out that Harry Styles was quick to jump in with a joke about Malik and Edwards getting engaged just for the presents, but that’s certainly not the case. According to Celebrity Net Worth , Zayn Malik has an estimated net worth of $23 million, and that’s kind of well off.
Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik have been “kind of engaged” since August 2013. Actually, that’s when the pair became officially engaged, no maybes about it. This strange way of referencing the status of their relationship seems to be meaningless. Oddly enough, the phrase seems to have caught the attention of an adoring public weeks after it was first uttered.
When Zayn Malik’s “kind of engaged” status changes to “married,” it might lead to heartbreak among his many fans, but things could be worse. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Malik and his entire family faced heartbreak when his little cousin was the victim of a cruel death hoax. After Arshiya Malik underwent surgery for a brain tumor, the Twitter community started trending the hashtag #RIP Arshiya even though the innocent little girl was still fighting for her life. There has not been an official update of Malik’s cousin’s health since August 2013.
