Lisa Vanderpump opened up about the fifth season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during a recent interview.
While promoting her Pop Culture Living Collection at PUMP on November 6, Vanderpump dished on the drama that is to come between her and her co-stars, and revealed why, after such a dramatic fourth season, she decided to return to the hit reality show.
“I mean, obviously that’s the point of a trailer,” Lisa Vanderpump told Us Weekly of the moment she is seen taking a slap to the face . “To say ‘watch the season and take the moments,’ but there were many moments.”
“I don’t know how they made that trailer, actually, because there were so many good moments. There were a couple ‘oh my God!’ moments that changed the dynamic. I think that’s what a trailer is: Bam, that happened, and bam! This happens and it changes the dynamic in the group.”
During the trailer, as reported by the Inquisitr , Brandi Glanville is at the center of the drama, feuding with newcomer Eileen Davidson (who she accuses of being a husband stealer) and reportedly slapping Vanderpump .
“You saw a big moment with Lisa Rinna, you saw a couple of big moments with me,” Vanderpump said. “There are also poignant moments in there. There are friendships that have been rebuilt that last year, there was no hope for.”
Although Glanville appears, by most accounts, to be the woman behind the slap, she played coy during an interview with E! News earlier this week.
“You know, I don’t even think you can make out who slapped who in the end of that trailer,” Glanville said , according to the Inquisitr . “You’ll have to definitely wait and find out what happened.”
As for why she opted to return, despite the majority of her co-stars turning against her during Season 4, Lisa Vanderpump told Us Weekly , “I don’t know. I just always think … if this is how they document my life, it’s fantastic, really.”
Now that she’s launched three successful restaurants and her new collection, Vanderpump is looking forward to some downtime. “I’ve worked so hard, that’s the problem,” she noted. “I would like to scale back a bit. It’s been tough. The last few years with recessions in restaurants — and you know, restaurants around me closing down — it’s tough to make it work. So I don’t know what the future holds.”
