The question for Apple fanboys these days is whether or not they should be buying an iPad Mini 3 if they already have an iPhone 6 Plus or vice versa. This becomes a debate about whether or not you need a Phablet or an oversized smart phone and a smaller tablet. Can one do the job of both? The answer is up to the customer, but there are a few features to consider.
If you are looking at price, PC Advisor is quick to point out that the iPad Mini 3 is quite a bit cheaper than the iPhone 6 Plus. Even if you get a tablet that has the 4G connectivity added in, you’re still going to be saving a little bit of money, especially if you don’t have the ability to get a new contract with a cellular provider for the iPhone 6 Plus. The downside to getting an iPad Mini 3 instead of the iPhone 6 Plus, of course, is that the tablet is still a bit bigger than a phone. If you think you’re going to have an issue holding the much larger phone up to your ear, keep in mind you’re really going to look funny with a tablet glued to the side of your face.
One significant drawback of the iPad Mini 3 is that isn’t a big improvement over the Mini 2. In contrast, the iPhone 6 Plus is a rather huge change from the iPhone 5. It seems likely that if you are looking for a device that is seemingly brand new and offers features you couldn’t find in the previous model then the newest tiny tablet isn’t something that is going to interest you all that much.
