As windows 7 slowly winds its way thought the beta testing phase which really won’t have much of an effect on the final release unless some showstopper comes along we are also hearing the rumblings of the next version of Office begin to rise from the depths of the Redmond compound. Apparently there has been a late alpha / early beta being passed around some close partners of Microsoft. While not much is really being said about the actual software – unless you subscribe to the UX Evangelist blog – we have just been passed some screen capture of what is professed to be Office 14 in action.

Word is that the beta will begin in May with the RTM release being planned for the end of the year.
