Steven Bauer has been seen hitting the town with girlfriend Lyda Loudon, a “journalist, activist and film guru” who just happens to be about four decades younger than him.
The 57-year-old Ray Donovan star has been dating the 18-year-old Loudon for the past few months, attending the premiere of Magic in the Moonlight together back in July. They were again spotted together this week, proving that their relationship has at least stood the intense media scrutiny of when the first went public.
It appears that Steven Bauer has the support of Lyda’s mom. In July, Gina Loudon wrote an op-ed for WND defending her daughter and blaming the liberal media for its scrutiny.
She wrote:
My husband asked, “Why can’t she find a nice millennial boy?” He almost laughed at himself for asking the question. While there are certainly exceptions, career-minded, committed patriots who are equally yoked with Lyda Loudon are rare. She has had many suitors, but she has entertained few. She is challenged by her generation and has taken ownership to do something about it.
Gina Loudon admitted she struggled with her daughter’s relationship with Steven Bauer at first, but ultimately grew to trust her daughter.
“We sought advice from our pastor, our family and our closest friends. We sought advice from lawyers and publicity agents,” she wrote. “Ultimately, for me, it all came down to one thing. I had one job to do, one thing that mattered more than anything else: loving my daughter.”
Though she is only 18, Lyda Loudon has already accomplished a lot. She founded the L3 Foundation, an organization that encourages older generations connect with Millenials.
The foundation’s site noted:

But to say that Steven Bauer could be a father to girlfriend Lyda Loudon might actually be an understatement. Bauer’s son Alexander is actually still a decade older than Lyda.
