For those of you who love Zach Galifianakis , get ready to be excited. For those of you who hate clowns, not so much excitement. According to Hit Fix , Zach Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel have teamed up to create a new comedy pilot series for cable TV’s FX called Baskets . The three co-wrote the comedy which stars Galifianakis, features Krisel who also directs, and will be produced by Louis C.K.

Deadline has revealed the plot of Baskets as:

“In a world constrained by corporate interests and the homogenization of society, one man in Bakersfield, California dares to follow his dream of becoming a professional clown. But after an unsuccessful enrollment at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the only job he can find is with the local rodeo. Baskets follows Chip Baskets’ (Galifianakis) pursuit of his dream, against all odds, to be a respected clown.”

“Zach Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel have created an absolutely brilliant show,” brags Eric Schrier, one of FX’s President of Original Programming team as reported by Hit Fix. Schrier continues to say,

“To say Zach’s portrayal of the lead character Chip Baskets is hilarious/unique/riveting/fascinating would be an understatement. We can’t wait for the world to meet him.”

FX jumped on the clown bandwagon and ordered up 10 episodes for its first season. While production will start next year on Baskets, the actual comedy series will not be seen until 2016, based on Hit Fix reports.

Just this week, Zach Galifianakis won an Emmy for his Between Two Ferns Web series episode featuring President Obama . And Louis C.K. won an Emmy for writing on his eponymous FX series, as revealed by Vanity Fair .

Everyone should look forward to this new comedy because both FX and FXX have proven to have quality content in not only comedy, but with drama, as well. Such hit shows as Sons of Anarchy , American Horror Story , You’re The Worst , and The League , which will now be joined with a new batch of great series such as the combination of Billy Crystal and Josh Gad in The Comedians , Denis Leary with Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Jay Baruchel in Man Seeking Woman , as reported by Hit Fix .
