Mischa Barton, known for her role on The O.C. , is opening up about her time on the show while she may be facing home foreclosure.
Mischa Barton hit it big when she was starring on the hit show, The O.C. , but that doesn’t mean she had it all. According to a previous report by The Inquisitr , Barton went through a dark period after the Fox show ended and even admitted to having a full breakdown :
“It was always, ‘She’s too skinny, she must be sick.’ Then it was, ‘She’s too big.’ I was never the right weight,” said Barton according to another report by The Inquisit r.
After her major breakdown, the actress swore she was on the right path and wanted to focus on her career. So what is Mischa Barton up to now? According to US Weekly , Barton, 28, is currently leading a campaign for VAPESTICK , an electronic cigarette. While she poses for the camera and heads the VAPESTICK campaign, Barton opened up to Metro about her time on The O.C. When asked to look back on her past and whether she would have joined The O.C. team again, Barton said she probably would have passed it up :
“It’s something I came so close to not doing. I had a really great thing with film. People say be grateful for what you have but it certainly not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be…I’ve kind of seen it all.”
When Mischa Barton was then asked if she cared about what others thought of her since she left The O.C., she answered, “ Clearly not ,” according to E! News :
“That would really do your head in if you were thinking like that,” Barton says. “I just like to be seen for the hard-working actress that I am and not for a bunch of extraneous press. In general people are super quick to harbor on the gossipy stuff and less on how much work goes into it.”
While she may not care what others think of her now, some are wondering just how put together Mischa Barton is following her breakdown a few years past. The question of her well being came up following a report by People which claims that the star is nearly five months behind on the mortgage payments for her Beverly Hills home:
“The lender has placed the property in foreclosure, meaning Barton risks losing the estate unless she works out an agreement or gets current on her payments soon.”
