Some outlets are blaming Ellen for the split, saying that she’s been unfaithful, and others are blaming Portia, saying that her insecurities coupled with her drinking and drug problems are coming between her and her wife. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry , the couple is in therapy , trying to work on their marriage — but who knows how much of this stuff is true?
According to Classicalite, Ellen’s alleged cheating and Portia’s alcohol problem go hand-in-hand . A source said:
“[Portia] can’t get the phrase, ‘Once a cheater, always a cheater,’ out of her mind. It’s going to take a lot for Portia to trust Ellen again… There is still so much tension between them. And Ellen still drinks in front of Portia — that doesn’t help. Portia is having huge problems forgiving Ellen for betraying her.”
Portia de Rossi’s divorce filing could be soon if the above is the case. If Ellen did cheat on her, it’s going to be very hard for the two to move past their current situation. If Portia’s relapse was due to Ellen’s cheating, you can imagine how sticky the situation really is. It sounds like Ellen and Portia are working on things, but the source fears that the two may never reconnect. There has been too much damage done by both parties and it’s hard to just move forward.

Sadly, this isn’t something that will be easy for Portia to just forget about.
If the rumors aren’t true, fans hope that the media will stop harping on things that aren’t real. It’s hard enough for celebs to have relationships, never mind for them to go through all of this unnecessary drama.
