Kendall Jenner has become a hot commodity on the fashion frontier this past week after she walked in her very first Chanel runway on Tuesday, July 8. After Kendall’s appearance on the runway, she and sister Kim Kardashian attended the Vogue Foundation Gala, where Kendall reportedly poked a little fun at her older half-sister.
According to The Huffington Post , while getting ready for their appearances at the Vogue Foundation Gala , Kendall Jenner took to Instagram to post a photo of herself and her older sister Kim Kardashian. Kendall captioned the photo, “She looks up to ME #BalmainArmy,” which was a joke between the sisters referring to the height difference between the two. While Kim may be the older sister, looks like the Kardashian really does have to look up to younger sister Kendall!
Of course, the comment was made all in the name of fun. According to E! News , Kim took to her own Instagram account to post a photo of herself with Balmain models Binx Walton, Ysaunny Brito, Issa Lish, Amanda Wellsh, and her sister Kendall. In this photo, everyone looked stunning, but Kim continued the joke captioning the photo with “The Army #Balmain #IFeelShort.”
Short or not, Kim fit in just fine with the Balmain models, all of whom were decked out in stunning “army” colored outfits for the evening’s festivities. Kim Kardashian looked fierce in leopard print skirt which she paired up with a rather intricate black and gold top, while Kendall stood tall in a gorgeous green pleated dress.
According to an earlier report by The Inquisitr , Kendall Jenner may be removing herself from the Kardashians so that she may continue pursuing her career in fashion. While she may owe her initial fame to the Kardashian name and their television empire, she has done very well for herself in the fashion industry. The Inquisitr continued on to report that Kendall’s career has taken off this past year, and her success may be causing some friction within the Kardashian-Jenner family. The report stated that some sources have said that Kendall’s 16-year-old sister, Kylie, “is planning to drop $85,000 for plastic surgery to look like her older sister.”
“Kylie’s such a pretty girl, but she’s found it difficult that her sister Kendall’s modelling career has taken off so much more than hers,” an insider told Hea t Magazine . “Kendall is a natural born model. Kylie says she’s happy for her but, behind the scenes, all her friends know she’s jealous.”
