The star of BBC’s Sherlock Holmes may very well be the most influential actor in this years’ Time Magazine ‘s annual Top 100. Benedict Cumberbatch is the leading actor in Time Magazine’s 2014 poll . Time Magazine asks users to vote on their website which movie and television entertainers should be on the 2014 Time 100. Cumberbatch holds a commanding lead over other actors including Jared Leto and Jennifer Lawrence. Time magazine is also conducting similar polls for other categories such as World, US politics, Business and Tech, Culture and Fashion, Music, Media, and Sports.
Aside from being the leading actor in Time Magazine’s 2014 most influential Movies and TV personality poll, Benedict Cumberbatch is also currently in 6 th place overall, being the only actor in the top 10. He shares the top ranks with Arvind Kejriwal, Katy Perry, Laverne Cox, Beyonce Knowles, Justine Bieber, Jared Leto, Lupita Nyong’o, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.
The Time Magazine poll closes at 11:59 pm on April 22. The Winner of the polls will be announced on April 23, and the official Time 100 list will be released on April 24.
It’s no surprise that Benedict Cumberbatch is the most voted actor in the polls, considering his current popularity both on TV and in the big screen.
