A Lamborghini can fly…if given enough speed and a ramp. However, this Lamborghini Aventador just needs two other cars and enough of an impact to fly through the air gracefully like a dove…then to skid shamelessly back onto the road.
According to News Max , a Lamborghini Aventador crashed into three cars in London’s posh Knightsbridge neighborhood on a late Sunday afternoon. The entire event was caught on video.
The driver of the Lamborghini Aventador, which cost $400,000, sped down a street in the upscale shopping district while attempting to avoid a turning Mazda 5 hatchback. In addition to hitting the Mazda, the driver proceeded to hit a Nissan Qashqai crossover and a parked BMW sedan before skidding to a stop. However, it is the Lamborghini Aventador’s impact with the Mazda 5 hatchback which caused it to “fly” momentarily as seen in the video.
Luckily for the driver, nobody was seriously hurt. The only real damage seen is with the vehicles included in the crash. The Lamborghini Aventador seemed to get the worst of the damage, being that it hit three cars in a row.
Lamborghini Aventadors are exotic cars from the Lambo line, which is capable of accelerating from a stand-still to 62 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds, as reported by Daily News . Cars like these would make excellent hot pursuit vehicles, in which the LAPD did by adding a Lamborghini Gallardo to their fleet , as reported here on The Inquisitr .
The owner of the BMW, Lila Afshar, told The Evening Star the following about the situation:
“We showed up about three hours after the incident and there was a letter on the windshield. The Lamborghini was being towed away and the owner came up and explained what had happened. He was really apologetic about it.”
At least the driver of the Lamborghini Aventador was civil about his mistake. If he has insurance, it is probably very high already, since exotic cars tend to be higher in their premiums just because of their speed. Add in the repairs of the other three cars – one being a BMW – the Lamborghini Aventador driver will most likely have a hefty increase in his insurance. If he doesn’t have insurance, that’s a lot of money out of his pocket.
However, as stated before, Lamborghini Aventadors usually cost on average about $400,000. The driver might actually have enough cash to cover the results of making his Lamborghini Aventador fly.
