Speaker Knockerz is dead at the young age of 19. The Columbia, South Carolina rapper was found dead in his garage on Thursday. Derek Mcallister, aka Speaker Knockerz, had been missing for several days. His mother had been looking for him, before finding out he was dead, according to her Facebook page .
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts confirmed that Speaker Knockerz was dead for some time when he was discovered. So far, there is no suspicion of illegal activity. Toxicology reports are still pending and some friends and family are suggesting Speaker Knockerz died of a heart attack.

Though the young rapper from the Columbia area had not officially signed on a record label, he had a large following on social media. Speaker Knockerz’ YouTube page generated a lot of traffic. The best single from the young rapper was Lonely Shot .
Social media rappers are constantly trying to fight for the ability to get noticed by major labels. Their popularity usually does not become main stream, except in death. Lil Snupe was another social media rapper who died last year. He was shot to death, much like more main stream Hustle Gang rapper Doe B in Alabama this past fall . Speaker Knockerz was trending in the US on Friday as news of his death began to spread.
Fans, family, and friends began to pour out support and lament when they discovered that Speaker Knockerz was dead.
