Amazon.com has announced two new MP3 promotions, “Daily Deals” and “Friday Five,” offering customers deep discounts on select newly released and catalog albums.
“Daily Deals” is updated daily and offers a popular album at a significantly discounted price, while “Friday Five” offers five albums for $5 every Friday and through the weekend. In celebration of Coldplay’s new album, this week’s “Daily Deals” will be their preceding albums. “X&Y” which was availalbe Tuesday for $1.99, “A Rush of Blood to the Head” will be available on Wednesday for $1.99, Parachutes” will be available on Thursday for $1.99 and “Brothers and Sisters” will be offered on Friday for 99 cents.
I haven’t checked in on Amazon MP3 recently, but the figures are impressive: 5.4 million DRM free MP3 tracks and some decent prices. Worth a look.
