A 75-year-old lady in Georgia was recently scavenging for copper in the village of Ksani when she managed to accidentally shut off internet access to the country of Armenia.

Digging with a shovel the lady unearthed two cable lines and accidentally cut through them. Those lines belong to Georgian Railway Telecom and served access to Armenia’s major ISPs which include ArmenTel, FiberNet Communication and GNC-Alfa.

BBC News reports that the woman was arrested and eventually released, although she could face jail time up to three years after her actions took down the countries internet for much of the night on March 28.

If anyone deserves jail time its the countries government officials who have allowed for most of their internet access to come from two cables buried shallow enough that a 75-year-old woman was able to dig them up and accidentally cut through them.
