If Calvin Johnson is on your Fantasy Football team, you’re going to have great bragging rights on Monday morning. Johnson enjoyed an epic day that ended with an almost-all-time NFL record.

The Lions’ wide receiver posted an impressive 329 receiving yards against the Dallas Cowboys, just seven yards short of the all-time record, set by Flipper Anderson in 1989.

Johnson was able to celebrate the incredible performance because of a comeback capped by quarterback Matthew Stafford , reports USA Today .

Stafford lunged one yard over a pile of linemen to score a touchdown with 12 seconds left, lifting the Lions over the Cowboys 31-30. The quarterback threw a 22-yard pass to Johnson to set up the winning score.

Calvin Johnson also finished the day with 14 catches, notes Yahoo! Sports , while Stafford only missed two of his throws to the wide receiver all day. The massive effort to defeat the Cowboys included an 87-yard catch and run by Johnson after he whipped Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr off the line.

The play was an indication of Carr’s day, as the cornerback stripped Johnson of a fumble once, but didn’t do much more to halt Megatron. Johnson and Stafford’s performances were key to help the Lions beat the Cowboys, as the team scored all but seven of its points in the final quarter of the game.

While they did come out on top, the Lions weren’t perfect during the game. They struggled to take advantage and were careless of the ball for part of the game. Stafford threw two interceptions in the first half to linebacker Sean Lee, and Reggie Bush fumbled in the third. Johnson’s only fumble came during the same quarter.

Seven of the Lions’ 10 longest plays of the game began with Stafford passing the ball to Johnson. Calvin Johnson’s previous best was 244 yards in Week 17 of the 2011 season. That game was against the Green Bay Packers.
