Kathryn Dennis of Bravo’s Southern Charm has reportedly fled rehab.
Just weeks after reports claimed Dennis was seeking treatment in Malibu, California, the reality star has been spotted at a motel with a mystery man.
“[Kathryn Dennis] has not been committed to the treatment program and has left,” a source confirmed to All About the Tea on August 1. “She’s hooked up with a shady character. This man is not good for Kathryn’s recovery.”

Days ago on Instagram, Kathryn Dennis shared a photo of her mystery man leaning against a white sports car in front of a motel. In the caption, she told fans it was four in the morning in Southern California.
“Making myself wake up early, when the world is still dark and quiet from all that rarely is puts a new perspective on life. You can find a little #SouthernCharm anywhere if you look hard enough & watching that sunrise puts you wherever you truly want to be. 4AM CA, 7AM SC; we all rise and see the same sun,” Kathryn Dennis explained to fans with her photo.
According to the All About the Tea report, Kathryn Dennis’ venture to California for help was likely all for show.
“When [Kathryn Dennis] left to seek help in Malibu, she was not mentally ready,” the outlet’s source revealed. “She really hasn’t accepted or admitted her addiction issues. She took the paid-for-treatment to look good in her custody battle with Thomas.”
Although the outlet noted that Ravenel had offered to pay for Kathryn Dennis’ treatment after she failed a court-ordered drug test during their custody battle, it was not noted whether or not he was the one who footed the bill.
Since Kathryn Dennis’ alleged exit from the Malibu treatment center, the Southern Charm star has become quite active on social media. On Facebook, she shared a couple of clips from Southern California with her fans and followers, and on Instagram, she’s posted many photos. Meanwhile, on Twitter, Kathryn Dennis was recently seen going on a rant against her former friend and co-star, Jennifer Snowden.

During a court appearance with Ravenel in June, Kathryn Dennis reportedly tested positive for marijuana and cocaine, and as a result, her custody situation with Ravenel drastically changed. While Kathryn Dennis had previously been caring for their two kids, Kensington, 2, and St. Julien, 8 months, the judge on their case decided it was best for Ravenel to be the children’s primary caretaker and flipped their arrangement.
In addition, as revealed by All About the Tea in June, several rules for both Dennis and Ravenel were put in place.
- “Thomas was granted unsupervised joint custody of the two children, Kensington and St. Julien.”
- “Kathryn was granted supervised joint custody — Thomas agreed to allow Kathryn’s parents to supervise her time with the children.”
- “Custody will be split 50/50, with each parent alternating a week of custody.”
- “No drug use will be permitted.”
- “No paramours are allowed between certain hours in the home of either parent.”
- “No abuse of prescription drugs will be permitted.”
- “No drinking alcohol is allowed.”
- “Each parent MUST refrain from any alcohol or drug use, 12 hours prior to picking up the children for their designated week of custody.”
Kathryn Dennis began dating Thomas Ravenel during the first season of Southern Charm and welcomed their daughter shortly after.
In the years since, Kathryn Dennis and Ravenel have consistently feuded over their relationship and their custody situation with their children.
