Actor Jeff Bridges has listed his estate , nestled in the foothills of Montecito, for $29.5 million. The 9,535-square-foot estate is called Villa Santa Lucia, and Bridges co-owns it with his wife, Susan.

Jeff Bridges, known to his diehard fans as Jeff “the Dude” Lebowski, has decided to sell his family’s 19.5-acre estate in Montecito, California, for $29.5 million, shared his wife Susan Bridges. Built relatively recently in 1988, the Tuscan-inspired home boasts of all the modern amenities. The property includes a more than 9,500-square-foot, five-bedroom, and five-bathroom home, replete with a music recording studio, guesthouses, a small vineyard, and a greenhouse for orchids. To sweeten the deal, Jeff Bridges has also included his prized aloe tree collection, chuckled his wife.

“Jeff and his beloved aloe trees. They look like Dr. Seuss plants and require very little water.”

The gated property opens to a long driveway that crosses a stream and ends at a circular stone-paved motor court, reported the Los Angeles Times . The property also features quite a few olive trees, oaks, and Italian cypress. Designed by renowned Santa Barbara architect Barry Berkus, the property has served as the primary residence for Jeff Bridges and his family that includes his wife and three daughters.

Though the property isn’t old, everything about it has been built to offer an old Western feel. For instance, a massive hand-carved front door sets an Old World tone, which leads to a two-story entry hall anchored by massive stone columns. With a third-floor tower room as well as a study-cum-meditation room, the property also includes a 770-square-foot attached guest cottage. If that’s not all, Jeff even commissioned a detached 1,800-square-foot detached guesthouse, should his guests feel the need for some privacy.

If Jeff Bridges does manage to sell the estate at $29.5 million, which is an increasingly difficult proposition nowadays, he would make a huge profit. Interestingly, the estate was originally owned by Grammy-winning musician Kenny Loggins. Jeff Bridges merely paid $7 million for the property back in 1994.

Though the asking price is quite high, the house has Hollywood history. While living at the home, Mr. Bridges, 65, worked on many of his best-known films, including The Big Lebowski , True Grit , and Crazy Heart . In fact, there is movie memorabilia strewn across the property, hinted Mrs. Bridges. She added that they are selling the estate because their daughters, who went to schools in the area, are grown, and they have bought a smaller home in the area, reported the Wall Street Journal .
