Could the savior become just as evil as the Queens of Darkness? Well, based on what Once Upon a Time has shown this season, she has that potential, but her parents were, in Fairy Tale Land of the Past, and are, now in Storybrooke, determined to make sure she doesn’t – and Emma remains in the dark.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Emma has the potential to become evil , and now, the list of people who know that is growing. The latest episode saw Ursula get her happy ending after flashbacks chronicled her stormy relationship with her father and with Hook. As part of a deal with Hook, she clued him in on the villains’ plans. The Author can’t give the villains their happy endings if there’s still a savior, and so that means Rumplestiltskin is going to fill Emma’s heart with darkness so she’s no longer the savior.
In this next Once Upon a Time episode, “Best Laid Plans,” in Storybrooke, Hook tells Emma that her fate is at stake in Gold’s plan, and Regina leads the villains on a wild goose chase. Henry makes a breakthrough in his search to find the Author, but Mary Margaret and David need a moment to reconsider the best course of action. As for the Fairy Tale Land flashbacks, they’ll show Snow and Charming searching for a way to ensure their child grows up to be a hero, and a traveling peddler directs them to visit a kindly old hermit. They’re presented with a choice that could secure their child’s goodness, but it comes at a price that will haunt them for years to come.
TV Guide has posted a sneak peek from this next episode, showing Snow White and Charming in a flashback finding the unicorn whose horn they need to touch to see their child’s future, and he’s trying to stay optimistic. Once they both touch the unicorn’s horn, they each have a vision of their daughter’s future, but these are two very different futures. Charming sees Emma as a baby and is reassured that she’ll be good, for Snow sees young Emma tearing her heart out and not caring. That Emma is evil.
TV Fanatic has posted the official photos from this Once Upon a Time episode, offering a look at Snow White and Charming in the Enchanted Forest and the villains and Regina in the woods (perhaps on Regina’s wild good chase?).
Meanwhile, the “Best Laid Plans” promo offers a pretty big hint about what Snow White and Charming do in the past to try to secure Emma’s goodness.
