Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are officially back together and “better than ever,” according to a report released by Hollywood Life .
The 27-year old actress and 34-year old retired hockey player have reconciled their marriage and reunited their family.
As reported by the Inquisitr , Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were spotted holding hands in front of the paparazzi as they attended a recent Halloween party in West Hollywood.
Hollywood Life reports that the couple “looked extremely romantic” and Hilary Duff “flashed a coy smile” directly at the camera while being photographed.
It was officially announced back in January 2014 that Mike Comrie and Hilary Duff had decided to separate after more than three years of marriage. However, in an interview with E! last month, Hilary Duff implied that there was a chance that she and her husband would reunite and end their separation.
“I mean, if there wasn’t a chance for getting back [together], I think we would’ve filed for divorce.”
In an interview with Billboard back in July, Hilary Duff admitted that even though the separation was “very difficult to go through,” she and her husband still had “a lot of love for each other.”
“I’m separated from my husband right now, which has been a very difficult thing to go through, but we have a lot of love for each other.”
The “All About You” singer started dating the former Canadian hockey player in 2007. Their engagement was officially announced in February 2010 and they were married six months later , according to CBS News . They have one son together, Luca Cruz Comrie, who was born March 20, 2012.
According to People magazine, Hilary Duff credits her pregnancy with her firstborn child for her desire to resume her career as a singer and songwriter.
“I was about to give birth…and I had, like, two months to go… I just started writing a lot out of nowhere. I don’t know if it was because I was hormonal and emotional, but I started writing and I took it as a sign that I’m missing that part of my life.”
During the Billboard.com Pop Shop podcast, Hilary Duff admitted that her family was a major influence for her upcoming album. Duff stated that there is a song for her son as well as a song about her separation.
“There’s a song about Luca and a song about my separation and my love for this person, that maybe we’re not meant to be together, or maybe we are. It’s very, very personal.”
