A stroller ad featuring a bikini-clad model jogging in the park has outraged some moms and has other women questioning her clothing choice.

The Amsterdam-based stroller company Bugaboo recently featured model Ymre Stiekema wearing a black and white bikini and jogging in the park with their Bugaboo Runner, but the photo has drawn a string of angry comments.

You mean moms don’t usually jog in a bikini while pushing a stroller? http://t.co/xw2f2M8xQ1 pic.twitter.com/pEE6a7PRB3

The company’s Facebook page features the following caption.

“See how model and mum Ymre Stiekema stays fit and healthy with the Bugaboo Runner. Stay tuned for more running tips.”

It seems, however, that some moms weren’t happy with the model flashing her abs and legs in the barely-there bikini, and they weren’t afraid to express their outrage.

“That top cannot be supporting anything. There is nothing to it! If the image was of her wearing that outfit whilst enjoying a day a the beach or pool then fine it looks appropriate but really, taking a run with ur child in the park???!!!”

Other moms took offense at the body image the ad presented, saying it didn’t represent reality and the company that promotes it is out of touch.

“I know plenty of moms who run and none look like that, because they aren’t 23 or had a 6 foot tall, naturally thin model body before the running or before the baby. Like most advertising, this just isn’t reality.”

Meanwhile, other moms defended the model and the ad saying more people, moms included, should exercise more often.

They even came to the model’s defense. Ymre Stiekema is an avid runner, mother of two, and international supermodel. She loves running cross country through fields to clear her head.

“Really ladies? Are you that judgmental or jealous that you have to question what she is running in? Women should support each other not tear each other down because you feel inadequate. I would never get away with wearing that while I run, but great for her.”

The Bugaboo Runner is designed for jogging moms and runs upward of $800, without all the accessories.

The photo was originally featured in Vogue Netherlands, and was defended by Bugaboo with a letter to Today saying their strollers are designed with the active parent in mind.

“We believe that all parents should run free no matter where they are on their fitness journeys and what they choose to wear on their runs.”

Meanwhile, in Belgium, a group of bikini-clad girls are catching flak for crashing a women’s cycling race and then posing on the podium with the winners.

The bikini terrorism has the cycling world in an uproar.

It seems scantily clad bikini-wearing girls are causing controversy everywhere.
