To Beyonce’s millions of fans, she’s utterly flawless. She is, in fact, human, however, which means she is flawed just like the rest of us.
Mathew Knowles, Beyonce’s father, and former manager, just revealed what he believes to be one of her greatest shortcomings.
It’s not common for parents to broadcast their kid’s shortcomings to the world, especially not when they’re on good terms with them, as Mathew claims he is with Beyonce. So, how did we get here? Well, things started off simple enough. During a presentation at Howard University, Mathew Knowles gave a speak about some of his artists’ (former and present) weaknesses.
“Everybody thinks that they’re the greatest and they should. We as a label executives, we have to know the limitations of the artists. I can tell you all my artists, the limitations.”
He then used his daughters, Beyonce and Solange as examples, comparing the two on their public speaking skills. As you probably guessed from the title, Mathew Knowles believes that Beyonce’s public speaking skills are subpar.
“See, I would never have Beyoncé up here public speaking. She’s not good at it.”
Solange, however, received nothing but praises for her speech giving skills.
“Solange was just at Yale. She’s incredible at it. But I know all of my artists’ weakness. They all have weaknesses.”
Beyonce hasn’t responded to Mathew’s claims that she has poor public speaking skills, and it’s unlikely that she will. For one, Beyonce is preparing to give birth to her twins and probably doesn’t have time to focus on her father’s comments.

According to the Daily Mail , Beyonce and Jay-Z have spent an arm and a leg to transform their mansion into a private maternity ward. The publication reports that, among other things, Beyonce has had incubators and an entire neonatal wing shipped to her home.
A source close to Beyonce shared why she has decided to forgo a traditional hospital birth.
“It is all about privacy and safety. It’s not usual for someone expecting twins to have them at home, but Beyoncé has discussed it with her doctors,” said the source.
“She’s in prime physical condition and they are setting up a professional maternity unit inside the house for the birth. There will also be an ambulance on standby to take her to Cedars-Sinai Hospital should she or the babies need hospital care.
Jay Z can be seen going in and out of the property but Beyoncé is lying low.
Beyoncé and Jay Z were upset by that negative publicity at what should have been the happiest time in their lives. They are determined not to repeat that experience, which is why Beyoncé wants to give birth at home this time around.
Of course, she has a team of medical staff advising her and, should her doctors say she needs to move to hospital, then that is what will happen.”
Aside from Beyonce’s nearing due date, it’s also possible that Beyonce just doesn’t want to bring more attention to her public speaking woes, as it’s probably a sore spot for her. Wendy Williams made headlines in 2012 when she bashed Beyonce for her public speaking skills, during a segment on her popular talk show.
“I am a Beyonce fan,” Wendy prefaced her comments.
“I’m gonna watch her upcoming documentary because fortunately one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed captioning so I’ll be able to understand what she says. You know Beyonce can’t talk. She sounds like she has a fifth-grade education.”
Wendy’s comments were swiftly met with boos from the audience.
“Excuse me, I just said I was a fan. But we have to call a spade a spade,” Wendy said, in response.
