We knew the Disney song “ Let It Go “, from the hit movie Frozen , has been making its way into our lives in every place we could imagine, but in our 90s grunge music? Pearl Jam answered that question a few nights ago when in the middle of their hit song “Daughter” lead singer Eddie Vedder started singing “Let It Go” and the band joined in for a grunge rendition of the song.

The concert in question took place in Milan, Italy last Friday night. Eddie Vedder is a father of a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old so there is no doubt the grunge icon is exposed to “Let It Go” everywhere he turns just like the rest of us.

CNN Money reports that Frozen is one of Disney’s biggest movies ever having grossed $1.19 billion in global sales since its release over last Thanksgiving. The movie already has sold more DVDs and Blu-rays than any previous Disney flick and is the highest-grossing animated movie of all time.

Disney CEO, Bob Iger, said in a conference call that Disney profits were up 27 percent due to the movie’s success. He told a conference call of investors:

“This is definitely up there in terms of our top, probably, five franchises. So you can expect us to take full advantage of that over the next at least five years.”

Frozen is projected to be the fifth-largest grossing franchise in Disney history. Mickey Mouse currently grosses more than $4 billion dollars a year, Cars and Winnie The Pooh gross over $2 billion a year, and Toy Story grosses about $1 billion a year. Frozen is expected to bring in between $750 million and $1 billion next year.

Well now that they are being promoted by Pearl Jam they might just find themselves in an even better position.

Watch Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam break out the Disney hit “Let It Go.” It happens at the 8:16 minute mark!
