Despite the feelings that many WWE fans have about her, Eva Marie had massive potential to be a huge star for WWE. She still has a ton of potential to succeed as a professional wrestler, but Marie hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since last August, and she’s focusing on acting full-time going forward. Her push to the top of the WWE ladder is being given to Lana on, and it seems her wrestling career is on a very long hiatus.
WWE and its universe have already moved on, but Eva Marie’s career is still fragile in Hollywood. Her role in the upcoming movie Inconceivable should be the start of a successful acting career because she has the passion for it and a unique mentor in The Rock.
During a recent interview with Too Fab , Eva Marie broke her silence on her departure from WWE and had the following to say about being mentored by The Rock.
“Yes, he’s awesome. I literally couldn’t ask for a better mentor. He’s done exactly what I’m trying to do, he gets it. His advice to me is do the work, always put 110% effort into whatever it is that I’m doing, especially when it comes to these auditions and bringing these characters to life.”
Having Dwayne Johnson’s support in the early days of your acting career, especially after coming out of the wrestling industry, is an invaluable resource. Eva Marie is being given the best chance to succeed. On paper, she walked away from a huge push on SmackDown Live , a top role on Total Divas , and a bright future in an exciting industry. Eva Marie is a lot of things, but even her critics know she wouldn’t pursue an acting career if she wasn’t in a strong position to do so. The truth is she will always have wrestling to fall back on as well.
During the interview, Eva Marie also made it clear that she could return to WWE programming at any time if the opportunity presented itself. She’s not a performer the WWE Universe is likely to forget soon. Eva has some time to pursue acting and see what happens over the next few years. If she doesn’t catch on, she would not be the first professional wrestler to fail to transition into Hollywood full-time.
Eva Marie has always been open about wanting to emulate The Rock’s career. She has a desire to succeed at the highest level in wrestling and Hollywood. There comes a time when a performer has the opportunity to roll the dice with an acting career, so Eva Marie believes that time is right now. A lot can happen over the next few years, but the fans shouldn’t rejoice that Eva is gone. They should expect a WWE return someday.
