Triple H Is Reportedly Frustrated With Vince McMahon

Over the last few years, NXT — WWE’s developmental territory — has been an incredible feeder system for the main roster. Sure, they’re not exactly building many potential male or female stars from scratch, as most of their signees tend to be longtime independent wrestlers, who are already polished workers. But, nevertheless, NXT has been a great developmental program for WWE.

While most stars are red hot when they get called up to the main roster, most of them end up cooling off within a matter of weeks, which is why Paul Levesque, better known to WWE fans as Triple H, is currently frustrated with WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

According to Wade Keller of the Pro Wrestling Torch , Triple H feels like several months, and in some cases, several years of hard work down in NXT is being wasted by Vince McMahon. In short, Triple H is unhappy with the way most of the NXT call-ups have been booked. The biggest example of this is Bayley, who was a gigantic star down in NXT, but during her short time on the main roster, Vince McMahon has managed to turn one of the most likable characters on the roster into one of the most unlikable characters on the roster.

Given the fact that Triple H is the Vince McMahon of NXT, it’s easy to understand why he’s so frustrated with the chairman. Just look at stars such as American Alpha, the aforementioned Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Sami Zayn, and Austin Aries — all of which are former NXT megastars who have been marginalized on the main roster. In fact, the booking has been so bad that some of WWE’s more hardcore fans consider a main roster call-up to be a demotion.

To be fair, WWE has done a great job with some of the NXT call-ups, as stars such as Alexa Bliss, Baron Corbin, Finn Balor, and Samoa Joe have all thrived on the main roster. Also, as of right now at least, they’re doing a pretty good job with Shinsuke Nakamura, who, according to Cageside Seats , will be this year’s Mr. Money in the Bank.
