Captain America: Civil War opened abroad this week, and it’s set to hit theaters all over the United States on May 6, 2016. Tickets are going fast as fans of the latest Marvel hero film seek to purchase their seats for the early showings before they sell out.

It used to be that films opened at midnight on the day of the release. But a few years ago, theaters began offering early showings for an additional price. These showtimes were reserved for hugely-anticipated films, just like Captain America: Civil War and other superhero films.

However, these early showtimes have become commonplace now, and theaters offer early showings for new releases at regular rates as a standard practice. For Captain America: Civil War , this means the first show time will be between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on the evening of May 5 rather than midnight of May 6.

And tickets are selling fast. Those seeking a prime seat in the theater for the early showings should try to purchase tickets this weekend. By Tuesday, it’s anticipated that most theaters will already be out of seats.

Comicbook.com , for example, is convinced that the newest film will beat the Avengers opening weekend, thanks to the hype the filmmakers and actors have offered for the film.

Currently, Avengers: Age of Ultron holds the international box office record. Last year, it managed to pull in $946 million internationally (not counting the United States) in the box office, which makes it the highest-grossing superhero film of this age. Once the film opens to the United States, fans are predicting it won’t be long before the film beats the Avengers ‘ record.

Quickly selling tickets are in the future if the wild success at the international box offices are any indication. In just the first three days, Captain America managed to scrape in $84 million overseas. That puts it in first place for this weekend’s box office in every territory it played.

Captain America: Civil War is now open in 63 percent of the international marketplace, and in most territories, it beat the record set by Ultron . Time will tell where this money-making spree will lead, but estimates suggest it could quickly hit the $200 million mark after just five days in theaters. If it were to gross that kind of volume, it would be comparable to Avengers: Age of Ultron’s opening of $212 million.

Once Civil War hits the United States, those numbers are predicted to double. A highly-concentrated dose of Marvel’s supporters live right here in the United States, and once they’ve put their money in, the numbers are expected to skyrocket.

As of now, reviews for the film are mostly positive. There are always those who will point out the tiniest of flaws, but most reviewers are happy to pinpoint the positive.

Twitter fans have weighed in as well. Many are calling it the best Marvel film produced to date.

Oh and I forgot to post last night, but go & see Captain America: Civil War. Best Marvel movie so far, and they’ve made a few great ones!

One of the most talked-about parts of the film is Spider-Man’s appearance. One Twitter user argues that his appearance is the best part of the film.

Others are impressed by the plot of the film and the real consequences that follow. Reviewers were happy with the lessons the film taught and the way the plot played out from beginning to end.

Captain America: Civil War (3D): A great crossover event that finds time for all it’s characters, and intelligently deals with consequences.

Each of these reviews comes from those who viewed the film internationally, but it won’t be long until it hits United States soil. Tickets are going fast for the much-awaited Captain America: Civil War , so it would be wise to get your tickets for the early showings now.
