The rumor mill is abuzz right now, with reports of Ashlee Simpson’s hardcore partying and binge drinking to soothe her sorrows. Simpson’s ex-husband and Fall Out Boy singer, Pete Wentz, is said to be fed up with Simpson. Wentz feels that her partying and drinking are also having a negative effect on their 4-year old son, Bronx, a source told RadarOnline.com .
It’s no secret that the singer and sister of well-known singer, actress and fashion designer, Jessica Simpson, has had a rough few last years: first with her divorce from Wentz in 2011, her parent’s recent divorce and rumors that her father, Joe Simpson, is gay .
“Ashlee is in the dog house right now with Pete. He’s concerned that she’s burning the candle at both ends and worried about the effect on Bronx if she continues in this current state,” the Radar Online source is quoted as saying, with Wentz so worried about Ashlee that “he’s even spoken to [Simpson’s mother] Tina to get her take on the matter and make sure that he’s not overreacting in any way. She reassured him that he isn’t and said she’s been worried about Ashlee too.”
The drinking and partying allegations also come from a Simpson sighting last week, at LA hotspot, Pink Taco. A source described Simpson as “ downing drinks like there was no tomorrow .”
In 2011, it was also rumored that the younger Simpson sister suffered from a drinking problem, with PerezHilton reporting that Ashlee was downing “eight to 10 bottles of wine a week.”
In 2005, Simpson was also filmed looking extremely drunk at a Toronto McDonald’s, where she proceeded to climb on a counter and curse out an employee.
