Billionaire pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce need no introduction to pop culture fans.
The couple has been in the headlines since announcing their engagement on Aug. 26, 2025. The singer and the NFL player shared the news on Instagram, writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Known for her spectacular live shows, successful career trajectory and devoted fan base, Taylor Swift’s music often revolves around themes such as teen romance, heartbreak, unrequited love and female friendship. When the Grammy winner shared details of her engagement following what she described as an enchanting proposal, longtime fans and Swifties reacted with excitement.
All signs suggest the high-profile couple is moving closer to tying the knot, though most details about their wedding remain private. However, media outlets and fans have reported new details about the couple’s plans.

In a candid conversation, Grind City Media featured an episode of “Jessica Benson and CJ Hunt Live” titled “Will Taylor Swift and Travis Have a Bigger Wedding Than the Royal Family?” In December 2025, Page Six reported that the couple had booked Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, for a June 13, 2026, wedding.
On the “New Heights” podcast, Travis Kelce hinted at a summer wedding, saying,
“All the weddings I’ve been to — my friends always do them in the summer.”
Meanwhile, Jessica Benson said the date aligns with Swift’s favorite number. She also predicted that the wedding, expected to be highly private, could include strict restrictions on streaming and photography. CJ Hunt said, “Whoever gets the rights to the photo should also have the right to stream,” to which Benson replied, “I don’t think they want that,” with a smile.
Benson also compared Swift’s wedding to those of the British royal family and questioned why American celebrities rarely televise such events. “Why are we letting the Brits do something better than us?” she said.
Benson maintained that Swift’s wedding could draw more viewers than a British royal wedding. The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly drew 1.9 billion viewers worldwide. Given the global popularity of Swift’s Eras Tour, some believe her wedding could generate similar levels of attention.
According to reports, more than 5,000 journalists and crew members descended on Windsor to cover the royal wedding.

The couple married on May 19, 2018, and later stepped back from royal duties in 2020. Podcast host CJ Hunt said Swift and Kelce’s wedding could resemble events like the Met Gala, featuring paparazzi and A-list guests.
He added that while the couple may not share every detail publicly, they could release select moments, such as reception highlights, featuring the “Style” singer’s close friends.

According to Glamour UK, as of March 2026, even Kylie Kelce said she had no confirmed details about the wedding. Kelce also indicated in January that plans were still unclear. It is widely expected that Jason Kelce could serve as best man, while Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid may be part of Swift’s bachelorette celebrations.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Swift joked that she plans to invite “anyone I’ve ever talked to,” suggesting it could become one of Hollywood’s most anticipated summer weddings.
