Donald Trump attended the swearing-in ceremony of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Tuesday. The appointment was confirmed by the Senate, with Mullin replacing Kristi Noem. The president marked his presence at the formal event but ended up stirring health rumors with an unmissable gesture.
In videos from the ceremony, Mullin delivered his first speech. He said he was honored to be in the Oval Office before assuring that he would fulfill his responsibilities to the best of his abilities. He stated, “But I’ve made it very clear that I don’t care what color your state is. I don’t care if you’re red or you’re blue. At the end of the day, my job is to be the Secretary of Homeland and to protect everybody the same, and we will do that. I’ll fight every single day.”
As the 48-year-old spoke, President Trump was seen standing beside him near the podium. At times, it appeared he had a difficult time keeping his eyes open, and his face appeared to droop slightly on one side.
After a few moments, Trump was seen swaying slightly as if trying to stay alert. There was also visible discoloration on his hands. These instances did not go unnoticed, as social media users soon raised questions about his health.

Netizens took to the comment sections and dropped their reactions soon after. Someone wrote, “Trump is trying so hard, man…. He is about to fall”, while another user assigned him a nickname of “President Droopy McNaptime”. A third social media handle wrote, “The American people deserve answers on Trump’s health”.
There were also comments about how President Trump’s eyes looked puffier with every one of his new appearances. A netizen penned, “Look at his eyes! They are getting puffier and puffier day by day. I have never seen them look this bad. Pretty soon, he won’t even be able to see out of them”.
Lately, throughout Trump’s tenure as the President for the second time, there have been plenty of questions raised over his fitness for the position. With these significant droopy facial features, many deduced that the oldest American President had probably shown signs of a stroke, while he struggled to stay awake and conscious.
Well, an official memo had already confirmed the 79-year-old’s diagnosis with chronic venous insufficiency. The particular condition is known as a benign ailment in older people, where the leg veins do not transport blood sufficiently to the heart. It causes mild swelling in the body, especially the lower legs. But a regulated consumption of aspirin can help deal with this as well.

Recently, Trump appeared to show another sign of ill health when he seemingly dozed off during a live meeting. At the Memphis Task Force briefing a few days earlier, he was seen with his eyes closed for roughly 30 seconds while on stage. His behavior was noticed while he was being directly addressed at the event.
In another formal ceremony at the White House a few days earlier, the president was seen with a red rash on his neck. While he appeared to cover it with high collars, part of it was still visible on camera. His official physician, however, addressed the speculation that followed.
Sean Barbella said the rash was not harmful but a side effect of a topical medication the president was using. He reportedly was using a cream for a skin treatment, and the rash appeared as a side effect.
Amid ongoing attention to his health, both Trump and his officials have largely remained reluctant to provide details. His spokespersons have maintained that the president is in good health to run the government.
