As U.S. troops continue to put their lives on the line in the Middle East, there is growing unrest over President Donald Trump not willing to send his son Barron to the war. Trump had previously shrugged off concerns over the deaths of American soldiers, saying such casualties cannot be avoided in a situation like this.
The hashtag — #SendBarron — started to trend all over social media, and critics started questioning why the president’s son, who is around the same age as U.S. servicemen, gets to evade the military draft.
However, it turns out Barron has one physical attribute that would render him unfit to serve in the troops. Maximum height restrictions in the U.S. military stand at 80 inches, or six feet eight inches. Meanwhile, Barron is six feet nine inches tall, which makes it difficult for him to fit into confined spaces such as armored vehicles, tanks or aircraft and makes him incompatible with army equipment.
Donald Trump on his son Barron: “He can look at a computer… I turn off his laptop, I said, ‘Oh good,’ and I go back about five minutes later, he’s got his laptop, I say, ‘How do you do that?’.. He’s got an unbelievable aptitude in technology.”

Barron, however, is not the first in the family to avoid joining the military. Many critics believe it to be “family lore.” In the past, Dr. Larry Braunstein had reportedly helped Trump shirk military service by diagnosing him with bone spurs as a favor to the latter’s father, Fred Trump.
Now, Trump is being subjected to mockery all thanks to an old interview footage where he talked about his son’s love for technology. When asked what Barron’s greatest skills are, the president replied, “Maybe technology.”
The president said, “He can look at a computer, but I try turning it off. I turn off his laptop, and I say, ‘Oh good.’ I go back five minutes later, and he’s got his laptop, and I say, ‘How did you do that?'”
Trump continued, “He’s got an unbelievable aptitude in technology.”
Trump himself called Barron a “genius “ bc he knew how to restart his laptop 🙄. No one is afraid of Barron 🙄🙄 https://t.co/2LojSu19sz

Many netizens could not believe how Trump had hyped up such a basic skill and thought turning off the computer required any special skill. The video footage of the Trump interview is circulating online, and social media users are trolling the president for his comments.
Sharing the video, a social media user joked, “Wait until he learns about the internet… Have we thought about having Barron Trump just hack Iran? We were once told that Barron Trump was a computer genius, possessing such unheard-of skills as ‘turning off a computer’ and ‘turning it back on’.”
“I think, with this level of unrivaled computer wizardry, we need to have Barron hack into Iran’s military and shut everything down,” the user added.
Another user commented, “Um, anyone older than eight knows how to turn on a laptop. And oh, if you accidentally unplug it and plug it back in, it also turns back on.”
One user wrote, “So Barron is able to turn his laptop back on, after his dad turned it off? What a whizkid. Get him on the DOGE team!”
