Beloved entertainment host Jimmy Kimmel has often targeted President Donald Trump in his segments. The entertainment host’s new target from the Trump family appears to be the POTUS’s wife, Melania Trump. During a new segment of his Jimmy Kimmel Live monologue, he took a jab at their marriage.
With the release of Melania’s movie fast approaching, Kimmel decided to bring up the FLOTUS’s acting skills on-screen and in her real life. The host’s opening monologue started with the Epstein files. Kimmel highlighted Department of Justice’s (DOJ) delayed the release of the remaining files, originally scheduled for Dec. 19, 2025.

Kimmel also mentioned District Attorney General Pam Bondi and her “flying monkeys” and reiterated the DOJ’s decision about being unable to provide a specific date. He continued to mock the Trump administration about the decision. During his mockery about the Epstein files, Kimmel suddenly segues into talking about Melania, the movie.
He compared the files to her movie saying, “These Epstein files are like Melania’s movie, no one’s ever going to see them.” The audience present immediately erupted in cheers and applause in response to Kimmel’s comment. He continued to highlight the release of the FLOTUS’s movie set for January 30, 2026.
Kimmel also cited the Wall Street Journal’s information about the pay cut she reportedly took for the licensing fee of the movie: $28 million. It was at this moment that he jumped to take a jab at her marriage with Trump.
Kimmel pointed out, “You know, between this and her marriage, she’s probably the highest paid actress in the world.” The entertainment host threw shade at the rumors surrounding the Trumps about marriage troubles. Since Trump’s second presidency began, speculations and conspiracy theories about the two were heavily on the rise.

With Melania being away from the public eye and not appearing alongside her husband during rallies like before, many assumed they had either separated or were heading for a divorce. Netizens shared multiple videos about the couple in which they were portrayed as distant.
From pointing out Melania allegedly zoning out during her husband’s speech to the distance in public, rumors about their marriage continue to spread across social media. What Kimmel said about Melania allegedly acting in public about their marriage was merely a jab at the rumor circulating online.
Kimmel didn’t just stop at her acting skills, he also mocked the title of her movie and claimed “Send Help” would have been a better title instead. He continued to mock the quality and music of the movie.

Kimmel strongly believes the movie was bad and offers a rather peculiar reason. He joked that majority of the filming crew asked for their names to be removed from the credit section. He went on to mention other allegedly bad movies and big names including Matt Damon, claiming crew keep credits even for that actor’s movies.
The Trump administration has not yet responded to Kimmel’s latest jab, this time aimed at the First Lady. Will Trump defend his woman publicly or will this turn into another Truth Social feud between him and Kimmel? Only time will tell.
