Need Holiday Cash? These Companies Are Hiring Home-Based Customer Service Reps

If you need extra cash for holiday shopping, there are several major companies hiring for home-based customer service positions. While some positions require experience, others offer online training for applicants that have a computer and internet service.

Amazon, Nordstrom, Disney, AAA, UHaul, Apple, and HSN are just a few of the companies who are offering work-at-home positions for the holiday season and beyond. Hours vary and some positions are more flexible than others, but with no commute required, one of the positions listed below could become a great, secondary source of income.

AOL Finance reports that Amazon is gearing up for the holiday season by hiring seasonal customer service reps in 35 states. The positions are expected to last through at least December 25.

Shifts vary and the pay rate hovers around $10 per hour, depending on your location. For Amazon’s online application , you will need a high school diploma or GED and one year of relevant customer service experience.

According to the Penny Hoarder , Nordstrom is hiring season customer care specialist to help with a variety of customer service needs. This includes responding to emails, answering questions by phone or via the retailers live chat and social media channels.

The pay rate for the Nordstrom position is $14.65 per hour and includes a discount on merchandise. These work-at-home positions are currently open for residents of California and Utah.

AAA is hiring Travel Help Desk Agent to assist consumers with travel reservations and other questions related to the company’s travel services. Although the position is home-based, applicants must travel to New Jersey for six weeks of paid training.

The Disney Store is hiring part-time Guest Services representatives to assist customers with their online and phone orders. According to Disney’s career division , home-based customer service representatives positions are available to residents of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.

In addition to Nordstrom, Amazon, the Disney Store, and AAA, there are several other companies who are also hiring part and full-time home-based employees. According to recent reports by the Inquisitr , Apple is hiring year-round customer service advisors; U-Haul has seasonal work-at-home positions available, and HSN is hiring full-time customer service representatives.
