The night before he passed away, author Michael Wolff received a haunting note from Jeffrey Epstein. The Trump biographer claims in a recent episode of The Daily Beast Podcast that he had known him for years before his suicide in 2019 while incarcerated. In 2014, Wolff was approached by the convicted s-x trafficker about writing a book about him, but the author turned him down.

“I believe that I got the last message from him before he died,” Wolff told host Joanna Coles. “And this came through one of his lawyers on a Friday evening. He died on Saturday morning.” “His message to me hours before this happened was—and it was just in response to me asking how he was—and he said, ‘Still hanging around.’”

On August 10, 2019, Epstein was discovered hanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City. He died by suicide, according to a 2023 Department of Justice report. Since then, conspiracy theories have been centered around the disgraced financier’s death, with many people thinking that it was actually a homicide.

During his campaign, President Donald Trump pledged to make the notorious “Epstein files” public. But those hopes were dashed on Monday when the Justice Department announced that it had not discovered any proof that Epstein was murdered or that he maintained a list of his clients.

In MAGA World, the memo sparked an uproar, with many Trump supporters attacking Attorney General Pam Bondi for delivering the much-anticipated papers. The cause of Jeffrey’s death is probably going to remain a mystery to Wolff.

“He could not, as described, have killed himself,” Wolff said. “As the circumstances presented, he could not have been murdered.” When Coles asked Wolff what he thought caused Jeffrey’s death, Wolff merely said, “I don’t know.”

“It’s incredibly disturbing. We have flight logs, information, names…that will come out.”

Supporters of the murder scenario contend that Epstein was assassinated to protect the reputation of his purported clients. According to prosecution documents, Epstein was renowned for having a wide network of contacts, including former President Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew. According to Epstein, Trump was one of his closest pals.

While conducting research for his book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, Wolff spoke with Epstein about the president in 2017. In the audio that the Daily Beast was the only one to receive last year, Epstein stated, “I was Donald’s closest friend for ten years.”

Trump has discussed his acquaintance with Epstein on the record, despite his camp denouncing the tapes as “false smears” and “election interference.”

“You were the only person I was afraid of,” Trump’s campaign manager Steve Bannon sarcastically told Epstein during the 2016 election, Wolff recalled. According to Wolff, “Bannon believed that Jeffrey Epstein was the only individual with the information on Donald Trump.”

When contacted for comment about Wolff’s claims, David Schoen, Bannon’s attorney, stated: “I certainly have no comment on anything Michael Wolff said on your podcast other than to say, if Wolff said it, I would assume it was a lie because from my experience he surely seems to prefer to lie rather than tell the truth when given the option.

“Jeffrey had no ‘goods’ on Donald Trump,” Schoen continued, “and I can assure you this is a subject on which I can speak with authority.”
