President of France Emmanual Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron are being hosted by the British monarchy this week. Naturally images of Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William along with King Charles and Queen Camilla are doing rounds on social media.
Besides pictures of all of them at RAF Northolt in London, there are also videos that show the Royals meeting the French President and his wife. One particular gesture of Kate Middleton as shown in a video has caused quite a stir among netizens with speculations discussing she might be doing what she was shown to be doing.
The video showed Kate and William meeting the French President and his wife and Kate curtsying for four times instead of doing it just once. Initially she curtsyed two times in quick succession. However, King Charles and Queen Camilla were then busy with Emmanual and Brigitte and might have missed Kate’s gesture.
When the French President and his wife finally offered their full attention to William and Kate, the latter curtsyed again. After that she greeted Camilla by kissing her on the cheek and then curtsyed quickly for a fourth time to ensure that her gesture of respect was taken notice of both by the King and the Queen.

It is important to note here that while William and Kate will be the next King and Queen of England following King Charles, they have not yet reached the spot and therefore must ensure that they maintain proper decorum while meeting the present King and Queen.
While Kate curtsying four times has naturally grabbed eyeballs, another event that had caught the attention of netizens was Emmanual kissing both Kate and Camilla on their hands. While there is no rule that prevents him from showing his respect or affection in this way, the gesture became a talking point because it involved the Royals and generally a certain kind of decorum is expected to be maintained in front of them.

During these meetings, Kate has been maintaining her gracious self and her curtsying four times further show how she values Royal traditions and make sure that she pays respect in the right way. Kate has always set an example when it came to behaving in public and her good relationship with both King Charles and Queen Camilla can be attributed to this quality of hers.
