Lauren Sánchez Bezos is living quite the billionaire fairytale. She’s married to one of the wealthiest men on Earth, holds the title of “astronaut,” and believe it or not, has even caught the eye of another tech titan.
That awkward moment played out for the world to see back in January, during President Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day. Mark Zuckerberg, the Meta CEO himself, was spotted giving Sánchez Bezos more than just a polite glance.

In fact, photos that went viral made it painfully clear that he was checking out the former journalist’s exposed cleavage. It was, frankly, such a teen boy moment that the internet couldn’t help but have a field day with it. True to her bold style, Sánchez had chosen a low-cut top for the occasion, leaving little to the imagination. And while this look didn’t even crack her personal top-five list of “most inappropriate outfits,” it was clearly enough to send Zuckerberg’s gaze wandering.
Fast forward to July and it seems any potential weirdness between them has been smoothed over, or at least, Lauren doesn’t seem to hold a grudge. When Zuckerberg shared a video on Instagram of himself surfing while dressed up as an Uncle Sam eagle for Independence Day (because honestly, why not?), Sánchez Bezos actually liked the post. That “like,” as seen in the post, was its own subtle message. Bygones are bygones.
After the ogling look seen round the world, gossip blogs couldn’t resist stirring the pot with rumors about tension between Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos. But those whispers appear to have been nothing but idle chatter. Sánchez Bezos herself helped dismiss any feud talk by commenting on Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan’s birthday post about a month after the inauguration. She kept it simple and friendly, “HBD” with two red heart emojis.
Of course, the Inauguration wasn’t even Zuckerberg’s only lapse in discretion. He’d been caught liking now-deleted glamour shots Sánchez Bezos posted on Instagram, photos that were less “documenting a workday” and more full-on attention-grabbing. Zuckerberg apparently fell for them hook, line, and sinker. Commenters on X wasted no time roasting the Meta CEO’s rookie mistake where they gleefully reminded him that everyone can see which posts a person likes on Instagram.

One user even shared a meme that perfectly captured the vibe, with side-by-side photos of Zuckerberg through the years. “Zuck went from Mr. Steal Your Data to Mr. Steal Your Girl,” read the meme, with the poster adding cheekily, “It’s been prophesied.”
Who knew billionaire drama could make for such entertaining people-watching? Sometimes even the richest folks in the world can’t resist a little social media messiness, and Lauren Sánchez Bezos seems content to let it all roll off her designer-clad shoulders.
