Elon Musk and Donald Trump had a falling out a few weeks ago. Musk criticized Trump’s ‘big, beautiful bill’ as he stepped down from being the head of DOGE. Trump’s bill would reportedly increase federal funding and negate the effect Elon made to reduce it during his five months long term as DOGE.
He exited his special government role on May 28, and that’s when the string of accusations started against Trump. Elon went on accusing Trump of being a part of Epstein’s files. To this, the president denied any part in it while also taking help from the dead s-x offender’s attorney. Musk claimed the files haven’t been released because Trump’s included in it.
Trump’s reason for not releasing it is the chaos it might cause for many people. Elon considered the new spending bill as a huge factor to exit DOGE before the official date. The bill undermines his team’s work. According to the bill, there’s a rise in defense spending and tax breaks amounting to trillions of dollars. Musk called this a huge strategic error that may cause debt slavery for Americans in the future.
Musk predicts the bill will destroy jobs in America by millions and lead to strategic harm. He called it insane and destructive in his X post.

As per the new bill, there will be an increase of $600 billion in the next year, which does not align with what Elon was doing as the Department of Government Efficiency head. He got frustrated and believed the bill would damage the industries in the future. His several X posts were the outlet for his frustration and crash after ending his role with DOGE.
Musk even supported Trump’s impeachment; however, he deleted these posts from X and said he went too far. He did not exactly apologize but did show remorse. After the whole ordeal, Trump finally spoke. He wishes the best for Musk.

He called him a wonderful guy during an interview with Fox News but said he hadn’t spoken to him much. Looks like the two are still not on talking terms at all. Trump appreciated Elon, calling him smart and saying how he helped him in the campaign. He acknowledged that Elon is a bit upset, which is inappropriate.
The drama between Trump and Elon began when Elon was accused of doing a Nazi salute on two different occasions. However, he denied it, and his supporters explained how he was doing the Roman salute. In the following days, Musk accused Trump of not having $500 billion in funds to start the AI project.
Elon has constantly accused Trump’s financial initiatives and plans as a leader. As of now, the dynamics between the two are unpredictable. They may start feuding again, or we may see them supporting each other. Whatever it is, it’ll impact the country’s business development and politics.
