In yet another horrifying case involving a student, a teacher in Florida allegedly ra-ed the youngster in her classroom at Corner Lake Middle School. 32-year-old Sarah Jacas has been charged with lewd or lascivious battery and lewd or lascivious molestation, as well as a single count of statutory r-pe by an authority figure, as per documents obtained by PEOPLE.
The alleged victim, now 16, spoke to the cops on June 10 and alleged that Jacas had se-ually abused him in 2023 when the then-14-year-old was having lunch in her classroom. This happened at the start of the 2022-23 school year “because he had issues fitting in and associating with the right crowd,”

As per PEOPLE, alleged victim told investigators that he and Jacas grew closer during these lunches and Sarah tried to “isolate” him from other students over time. They also stayed in contact outside of school using text messages and a secret social media account. The student’s mother discovered their late-night communication where they expressed physical affection and told them to stop.
Later, the teacher’s husband found out about the situation and reportedly contacted the student through her account. The teacher did not return to school for the rest of the year. She was arrested on June 23 and released on bail two days later. The school has confirmed she will not return while the investigation continues. but alleged that what started off as chaste hugs and pecks on the check soon grew into what the affidavit alleges was molestation.

At one point, around 1 a.m., the student’s mother discovered them texting and told both to stop, calling the communication inappropriate. Although Jacas reportedly stopped texting, Sarah Jacas allegedly created a fake Instagram account to continue private conversations with the student. Investigators say the messages became increasingly personal.
In the week leading up to Spring Break 2023, the student told authorities that Jacas blocked the windows of her classroom and created a setup in a corner where the two would meet privately. The student said this continued daily until the break began. After Spring Break began, Jacas’ husband, with whom she shares a child, reportedly found out about the situation. The affidavit claims he accessed her hidden social media account and used it to contact the student while pretending to be her.
“[Jacas] called [the alleged victim] from an unknown number and told [the alleged victim] her husband found out about their relationship and for [the alleged victim] to ‘lay low’ because her husband” was angry, Deputy Sheriff Kyle Cole wrote in the document. The student said Jacas did not return to school during the remaining weeks of the school year.
On June 16, he called her in the presence of law enforcement, though the content of their conversation has not been made public, Sarah Jacas was arrested. Following her arrest, the principal of Corner Lake Middle School informed families that an investigation is underway and confirmed that Sarah Jacas will not be coming back to campus during the process.
