Warning: This article contains graphic details of a murder that some readers may find disturbing. Reader discretion is advised.

A tale of a gruesome murder mystery has been uncovered. A French restaurateur is accused of murder with his partner Nathalie Caboubassy. If you’re not a true crime fan, the details of the murder may sound gut-wrenching and unbelievable, to say the least. The duo is accused of murdering Georges Meichler and cooking part of his body.

They scattered away the rest of the parts to get rid of the evidence. Meanwhile, the cooking may be connected to a religious ceremony. It also nudges towards the assumption of cannibalism.

The 69-year-old restaurant owner will face a trial this week for using his butcher knife to cut the man’s body. He then scattered his remains throughout France. His partner, Nathalie Caboubassy, 43, is also accused in the case. The investigation started when Georges Meichler’s daughter filed a missing person complaint.

When police got to the investigation, they discovered it was a case of a theft gone wrong. The two accused were burglarizing the murdered man’s woodland home. They knocked him down, not knowing it would lead to his death. This might not have been their intention in the first place, but that led them to commit a much gruesome crime.

Schneider has made a confession about these details while also talking about Caboubassy’s role in the crime. The two wanted to conceal the body, and the only way they could do that was by chopping up the man’s body and placing the parts in different regions.

The restaurant owner cooked his body parts in a mess tin, as reported by The Mirror. They burnt the rest of the parts. The details are gory and almost feel made up, but they are all true. One cannot imagine cutting up another human’s body parts, and on top of that, they cooked it. Their greed for money and concealing the crime was so great that they went to such lengths.

The horrors of the whole ordeal seem to be related to religious cult activities and even consuming human flesh. However, they haven’t accepted these allegations. Schneider’s lawyer says that they take responsibility for the crime and all the facts he’s accused of. However, he also emphasizes that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he planned the robbery.

He was not in his senses when he decided to burgle Meichler’s home. He went on to gag and kill him, which was a serious mistake. Moreover, he knew the seriousness of the crime as he cut up the man and would have to pay the price here.

Even though the duo had a bright future as they worked in high-end restaurants, the substance abuse led them to commit this bone-chilling crime. Now the two will have to suffer the consequences of their actions committed under the influence. Let’s see how the trial goes and what punishment the law will decide for these two.
