I’m a huge sucker for a great concept piece, even though most of them will never see the light of day, but if there is one bit of technology I will beg, plead and scream for to eventually come out it’s the Sony Nextep.
The device features a compact design that can be worn on the users wrist, while also providing OLED touchscreen panels that are flexible so they can fit around the users wrist.
The Nextep also features a holographic projector, a slide-out keyboard that separates down the middle for easy typing and the ability to fold out the device on a desktop so you can more comfortably read emails, chat over IM or do whatever else you feel like with the device.
Sony doesn’t plan to release the devices until 2020 and given the new tech they want to employ that seems fair in terms of tech abilities divided by the time needed to employ them, but it pisses me off due to my need to have one right this very second. [via Ubergizmo ]
